||A branching cactus that spreads to form a dense mound of prickly fingers. Each finger grows upright and then lies down with age.
||Mounds grow up to 15cm in height.
||Bright green in colour with white, hair like spines.
||Renowned for their bright orange to red flowers that appear in Spring.
||Happy in either a full sun or part shade position.
||Medium - Spines are prickly but not overly sharp. Handle with care.
||A wonderful cactus potted on its own in a pot or bowl. Watch it mass to form a giant mound of what looks like Spitfire caterpillars. Great for potted arrangements or in rockery gardens.
