Habit A short, cylindrical cactus that is densely covered in spines.
Height Can grow up to 30cm tall.
Colour The column is blue/green in colour. The radials are a creamy white, and the spines are rusty red in colour.
Flowers Hot pink flowers that form a ring or halo around the head of the cactus.
Aspect Happy in either a full sun or part shade position.
Ouch Factor High - Spines are needle like and quite sharp. Handle with caution.
Uses Wonderful in a rockery garden. Can be grown in a pot on its own or in mixed cactus bowl.
