Habit Large, squat rosettes of broad chunky leaves. Leaves come to a point with a sharp spine, and have teeth along their margins.
Height Slow growing, but mature plants can reach a height and width of up to 1m.
Colour Foliage is a silvery blue/grey with brown to red teeth and spines.
Flowers Mature plants will shoot up a flower spike up to 5m tall, with yellow to orange flowers.
Aspect Happy in either a full sun or part shade position.
Ouch Factor High - Spines are needle like and quite sharp. Handle with caution.
Uses Very easy to grow. Suited to landscape or rockery gardens. Can be grown in a large pot. Drought and cold tolerant.
